Surf, SUP & Adventure in El Encuentro, Dominican Republic

April 19th – 24th 2023 

This is a unique opportunity to enjoy and explore a special spot along the northern coast of The Dominican Republic, El Encuentro and Cabarete. This is known as ‘the surf capital” and offers easy stress free surfing for all levels! There will be at least two days of stand up paddling excursions, with options for more if winds and weather allow. 

Encuentro Beach is an isolated stretch of beach in the Puerto Plata province of the Dominican Republic. Located between the more heavily populated cities of Sosúa and Cabarete this popular surfing beach is accessible to the public via dirt roads.

This Adventure retreat welcomes all, we will ensure everyone has the most amazing stay on the island. Included in this trip: 

– 5-Day adventure retreat in the surf capital of the DR, El Encuentro 

– Options for private and shared rooms in a hotel setting at The Surf Lodge or in a home at The Beach Villa, very close to the main hotel.

– Serving delicious, healthy local food –  breakfast, lunch and dinners included

– Snacks and drinks available throughout the day with access to bar and restaurants steps from our home or on the premise if you choose to stay at the hotel

The Beach Front Villa

​​Oceanfront Villa nestled amongst a beautiful garden with a pool. It’s about a ten minute walk to the main hotel.  Every bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. The house has a roofed terrace with an amazing ocean view and outdoor  dining room and a lounge area with a hanging chair. The endless beach with its surf breaks is just a few steps away!

  • $2,500 Single Room w/king Beach and ensuite Bathroom

El Encuentro The Main Hotel 

Superior Suite in Upper Garden facing the pool, these rooms can accommodate up to 4 guests. It has one king bed that sleeps two and two sofa beds that sleep one each. This room is large and has a kitchenette, with fridge, stove top and is approx 430 square feet and has a private terrace just outside the room with a comfy seating area.

  • $1500 Triple Occupancy

Double Rooms in the Lower Garden have a private terrace and offer a bit more privacy. These rooms can be set up with two twin size beds or one king size bed ro accommodate up to 2 guests. This cozier room has a minifridge and is perfect for a couple or two friends.

Transportation:

Air Fare is not included. Ground Transportation is not included. The airport code is POP and Jetblue and United and American all fly daily in and out of the airport. We will set up a driver for you for the trip to and from the airport.
